Accessibility
This storefront is built to remain usable with a keyboard alone and with screen readers, and to meet WCAG 2.1 AA as its baseline.
What is built in
Navigation, the department bar, the Shop menu, filters, product options, and cart actions are reachable by keyboard, with a visible focus ring on every interactive element. The Shop menu closes with Escape and returns focus to the button that opened it.
Images of products carry descriptive alternative text where the image conveys information; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology. Form fields have explicit labels; the cart count is announced politely when it changes.
Category and product pages are readable at 200% zoom and reflow to a single column on narrow screens without horizontal scrolling.
Contrast and motion
Text contrast targets a ratio of at least 4.5:1 for body text and 3:1 for large text. The interface avoids animation; the reduced-motion preference on your device disables smooth scrolling and transitions.
Known limitations
Some supplier-supplied product images have minimal alternative text, and a small number of placeholder images remain in the development catalog. Option chips that represent a single fixed value are plain text rather than form controls by design.
Reporting a barrier
If an accessibility barrier prevents you from completing a task, email support@businesssupplydirect.example with the page link and what you were trying to do. Accessibility reports are treated as catalog and interface defects and are prioritized alongside functional bugs.
