Business Account

A business account is for organizations that buy on purchase orders, need tax-exempt treatment, or buy for several sites. This page describes what an account provides and what documentation is needed to set one up.

What a business account provides

A single organization record with its own delivery book, order history, and contacts, so purchases made by different team members roll up under one customer. Invoice payment and net terms, where approved, are attached to the account rather than to individual orders.

Account purchases keep the same catalog, prices, and pack counts as guest checkout; the difference is record-keeping and payment terms, not pricing.

What is needed to open one

The legal trading name and address; a contact for orders and a contact for accounts payable; and, where invoice terms are requested, a trade reference or company registration number. Tax-exempt organizations additionally need the documentation described on the Tax Exempt Purchasing page.

Multi-site delivery

An account can hold multiple delivery addresses - branches, sites, or job addresses - and each order is placed against one of them. Order confirmations state which address was used so site-level reconciliation is possible.

Setup in the current build

Account creation is not enabled in the current development build: there are no accounts, no purchase orders, and no stored payment methods. The descriptions above are the production flow. To discuss an account ahead of launch, email support@businesssupplydirect.example.
